Van Gogh & Russell

This exhibition brings together selected works of Vincent Van Gogh and John Russell, offering a fresh perspective on these two century-defining artists, who only gained posthumous recognition. Supported by virtual curatorial technology, the exhibition redefines the traditional art showcase, moving away from the usual rigidity, untouchable nature, restrictions, subjectivity, oppression, and strong sense of distance.

By leveraging innovative technological methods, viewers are enabled to reconnect with that era, at virtually zero distance, breaking away from the traditional exhibition forms. This results in a new breakthrough for artworks, transforming their accessibility and public engagement. Through a montage-style presentation, the exhibition introduces a novel way to experience Impressionism.

While the main narrative of the exhibition revolves around the appreciation and comparison of the two artists' works, the underlying story reveals a lesser-known but remarkable tale of friendship, a narrative worth celebrating. This approach strengthens the connection between the viewer, the artworks, and the exhibition itself.
